D76:Escape from Shell Island
The drizzle speckled my glasses as I packed my sodden tent into it's "dry" bags. A couple of hours in the breeze freshened and out came the sun.
There are not many people in the world who have spent longer than me staring at Aberystwyth. As I drew closer so did the fog. I navigated the spectral cliffs in the grey world, the tension grew as I raced to make the most of the failing light. Oily waves silently glide under Delelmza.
As the sky grew orange and the mist lifted, I gratefully drew ashore, scaled the stony ramparts repeatedly with my bags of kit and hunkered down as the rapidly falling temperature coated everything in a thick chilly dew.
