Day 3: 3CK Upper Thames from Castle Eaton

A cool north wind was occasionally tempered by bright sunshine.
The delightful Thames and Severn canal took my mind off my sore feet on the three hour trudge to Castle Eaton.
The "pre navigation" Thames was fun, with a surprise around every corner. Someone with a generous spirit had sawed through the trickiest thickets making for portage free navigation.
The lock keepers have made their little patch of land into charming gardens.
I used to think Bath was affluent observing people in the local hostelries has re-educated me.
